Katie + Colin

Last weekend I had the incredible experience of playing second fiddle for photographer duo Justin and Mary Marantz. After preparations, nuptials, and formals in scenic Stonington, their clients Katie and Colin celebrated at the exquisite Inn at Mystic. Tropical Storm Hanna was no match for Katie and Colin, or for Justin and Mary who rocked the rain for some killer group photos.

Justin and Mary gave me artistic freedom as second shooter, so I really pushed the limits of composition and lighting with some of my shots.

Holy Smokes! These are amazing! One of the best series of images I have seen in a long time! Seriously cool angles, compositions, lighting, etc. Looks like you had a blast shooting and you got so many amazing pics! I really dig your perspective in a lot of these--far away, above, below, etc. Neat to see.

This is some of your best work that I've seen. The getting-ready shots (3, 4, 5, 7, 9 esp.) came out great. The one on the pier with Katie's hands on the sharp endcaps and the party in the background-- I like that one a lot. But I think my favorite is Katie leaning her head on Colin's shoulder. Great work!

Incredible! My favorite is the reflection in the hubcap. You and Kelly both know how to make a Mom proud--my heart swells every time I look at your blog.
